István Hollós's book My Farewell to the Yellow House (1927) is being published in English for the first time. Hollós's writing is an early example of a democratic approach to psychiatry, and his work is linked at several points to the MTA Psychiatric Art Collection in the care of the HUN-REN BTK.
Raven's multi-faceted manifesto, not without pathos, is brought to life in English in a translation by Adrian Courage. The book's foreword is written by Antal Bókay (University of Pécs), Monika Perenyei (HUN-REN BTK MI), Raluca Soreanu (University of Essex) and Mónika Takács (Ferenczi Sándor Egyesület).
The book will be launched on November 15, 2024, at 6 p.m. in London.
