This year, VSVU celebrated the 75th anniversary of its founding and awarded honorary doctorates to two prominent personalities on this occasion. The recipients were Edit András, a critic and art historian from Hungary, and Prof. Miroslav Petříček, a philosopher and fine art theorist from the Czech Republic. Both were honored not only for their free and creative thinking but also for their long-term professional reflection on Slovak art as part of the Central European environment, a contribution equally important to VŠVU.
